APEDA Registration

APEDA Registration is mandatory registration with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), a body under the Ministry of Commerce, required for exporters of agricultural and processed food products from India. It's issued in the form of a Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC).

Eligibility

  • Any business or individual engaged in export of scheduled products under APEDA
  • Must hold a valid Import Export Code (IEC) before applying

Other points to know

  • Registration must be renewed every 5 years
  • Mandatory specifically for the scheduled product categories not all food exports require it
  • Complements (doesn't replace) other export requirements like FSSAI licensing for food products
